Alex Gordon was a true champion, whether it was for local music, the people and causes he believed in, or a funny article online. When he told you he liked something, you knew he meant it — and that it immediately deserved your attention.

In addition to being a staunch advocate for artists, he released some excellent film scores and original recordings of his own. This project hopes to commemorate just a small slice of his life in music, with a collection of brand new songs, old demos, and outtakes from his favorite artists in Pittsburgh and elsewhere — along with two of Alex’s standout songs. Released on his 34th birthday, AG Forever: A Mixtape for Alex Gordon is an attempt to honor his understated brilliance, good taste, and generous spirit.

The compilation is available as a pay-what-you-want download, with all proceeds benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
